Important Note:
The Installed Pink spring in the pressure regulation valve of this pump will allow the pump to bring the engine oiling system to equilibrium at approximatley 70 psi. **Not all engines are capable of achieving a pressure of 70 psi due to loose bearig clearances, bearing wear etc.
THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF THIS OIL PUMP IN A HIGH
PERFORMANCE OR RACING ENGINES. DUE TO THE STRUCTURAL CHANGES THAT HAVE
BEEN MADE TO THE M55HV PUMP BODY, MELLING RECOMMENDS USING THE 10550
WHICH IS DESIGNED FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE AND RACING ENGINES.
